The Tahoe

The Tahoe has been like a very old, very needy friend.  We have had her for about 9 or so years.  The poor thing has wanted to die for a long, long time but Wes just refused to let her.  Ludo (that's what we called her)  had over 248,000 miles on her.  She has moved with us through about 7 moves and has traveled the country with us several times!  I have to admit, I really loved that car.  She had some little tricks you had to know, like in order to open the back door you had to use your shoulder and give her a good slam.  In order to use the breaks (only most of the time, not all the time) you had to use both feet and most of your weight.  and the passenger had to be careful because she would leak water on their feet after it rained.
But, she towed the boat like a champ!  As a matter of fact, just a couple months ago she towed the boat over 2,000 miles from New jersey to Arizona.  And about a week ago she towed it for about 4 hours up and back from Lake Saguaro.
When we decided to go to Europe we thought it would be best to sell Ludo.  She has been up for sale for a while now and finally someone wanted to buy her.  Well, it turned out to be that guy's lucky day.  As he was test driving her she threw a rod.  Yep.  No more Tahoe.  Died.  Right then and there.  In the middle of a road.  Ka-put!
So, not only do we not get any money out of her, we had to get a tow truck to haul her away.  She deserved a better funeral but I wasn't around to make sure it happened.  Wes didn't even get a single picture of her leaving us.

Ludo, you will be missed...
