CSI Jersey style

The middle school put on this really fun CSI program for the 3rd graders. Fortunately Kyler is a 3rd grader so we got to go. They only picked a few kids from each class to go and Kyler was one of the lucky ones. It was for Kyler and 1 parent. He chose me! :)

Someone borrowed and played with a teddy bear and we were supposed to figure out who did it. They had a cute little crime scene, and a bunch of different stations where we could look at evidence. The middle school students did all the work. The teachers said that they sat in the corner supervising. The kids set up, they conducted and took the kids all through their stations. The teachers/parents were only there to supervise. It was so much fun and I am so glad we got to do it. Here are some pictures of our super fun night. Thanks Kyler for picking me to go with you!
Here they are drawing the crime scene and listing all the evidence. See the cute middle school girl with her CSI jacket! She was so nice to help Kyler.
Here is one of the evidence stations.
I think this one was figuring out if there was a sleeping potion in the drink.
Here they are looking at the mysterious powder found at the crime scene. I think it was sugar.
Here Kyler got an award for figuring out who-dunit. :) He was pretty excited about getting it right! Not everyone did.
This video is the kids testing the fibers found at the crime scene. It was either cotton or wool so they had to burn it to see the difference.
