We made it!

Ok, I feel like I have a lot to blog about which means this will be a long post.  I hope I can remember it all.
First I'll back up a bit.  Wes accepted a job with Schuster Engineering in Germany.  That means we move.  We thought we would be moving to Germany right away but that is not how it turned out.  The company wanted Wes in the UK for a while first.  The kids and I have been so excited!  We thought we would probably be moving mid August.  That didn't work out.  I wanted to get on with it.  I didn't like the waiting.  But wait we did.  Finally in September they packed up our house and shipped it to the UK.  It is supposed to take about 6 weeks to get there so we figured we would wait it out in AZ where we have friends and family that can help us out with stuff we might need.  Wes had to leave a bit earlier than us to get working.  He left Conference weekend.  I don't like being without him.  It just isn't much fun.  Besides no Wes, we had no couch, no bed, no kitchen anything.  It was a bit rough.  Then Wes called and said they were getting us tickets!  It was time to go!  YAY!!!!  I can't tell you how long that last week took.  I love Arizona and being so much closer to family but I was so ready to get on with my life. :)
I got all the kids school transcripts, I checked them out, packed our bags and off we went!  When we got close to the airport I started to get a little nervous.  Not because we were moving our entire family to another country - but because I don't like going through security with my three kids and all our stuff!
The first flight was to Chicago.  It was a great flight.  Really nice people sitting next to us.  Our next flight was pretty good also!  A bit smaller spaces than our first flight but it was great!  The kids played on their electronics, watched Madagascar 3, colored, and slept.  We finally arrived in London at around 11:30 am.  I have to say, London is pretty fun to see from the air!
Wes picked us up and off we drove to see our new home!  We live in Brandesburton which is a really, really tiny town about 3 hours outside of London.  It is adorable!  The kids keep singing songs from Mary Poppins because that is what this place reminds them of!  It really is beautiful (despite the cold!)
I am so happy we decided to go on this adventure with our family.  I have loved every second of it so far.  I know, it has only been like 4 days.  But it has been an incredible 4 days!  I am going to adore this little town.  I love our ward.  The school seems wonderful.  Nothing bad to say about any of it...well, almost.  There are no plugs in ANY bathroom in my house!  What?! Who does that?!  How am I supposed to do my hair?  Yep, on my floor in my room.  But if that is all I have to complain about, I've got it pretty good.
There are a lot of things that are quite different here.  For example, I keep getting in the wrong side of the car.  I do not want to drive yet.  I just can't wrap my head around driving on the wrong side of the road yet.  It seemed to come quite naturally to Wes.  Not me.  Sometimes we will be driving and I just start to panic because I can see we are on the wrong side of the road and I think we are going to get into an accident.  Then very nicely the car passes us without hitting us.  Whew, that seemed like a close one.  I just need to close my eyes and hope we get there safe! :)
Basically, I am absolutely loving this place!
As soon as I find my camera cord I will be posting a lot of pictures!
